Four advanced training opportunities will be offered by the
Imperial School of Anaesthesia, for a period of up to 15 months
commencing November 2010.
These posts are intended to meet the
competencies for advanced training in pain medicine as
outlined in the Royal College of Anaesthetists document
"The CCT in
Anaesthesia. Part IV: Higher & Advanced Training . Training and Assessment"
(Pain Training: Appendix A-12). The posts are thus intended for trainees intending
to apply for Consultant Anaesthetist posts with a commitment
to pain medicine.
The institutions at which these posts are based have been confirmed by the Faculty of Pain Medicine (Royal College of Anaesthetists) Regional Adviser (Dr Andrew Baranowski) as meeting the criteria for providing advanced training in pain medicine.
