The Marsden have a slot open for their airway research fellowship from Aug 2021. They will be considering any applications that arrive by/on the 4th December and plan to interview on the 18th December. The application is through the Marsden website fellowship pages (and not NHS jobs).

Central Middlesex is part of the North West London Hospitals NHS Trust, along with Northwick Park hospital. It is a small district general hospital of 206 beds situated in Acton with a diverse ethnic population.
The anaesthetic service is delivered by nine general consultants, 3 ITU consultants, 6 staff grades and senior clinical fellows with 5-6 trainees (CT1-ST4) from the Imperial school.
Central Middlesex Hospital is primarily the elective site and hence trainees are rotated 3 monthly between the two hospitals to maximise training opportunities.

The ITU is a ten bedded consultant led unit with five level 1 and five level 2 beds, admitting primarily medical patients. The on-call service is provided by a clinical fellow or registrar and senior house officer, with support from a non-resident General and ITU consultant. This involves cover for A&E from 8am-7pm (closed overnight) and ITU out-of-hours.
There are weekly half-day consultant lead teaching sessions and monthly clinical governance meetings. In addition CT1 trainees have the opportunity to attend the teaching sessions at Northwick Park Hospital on Mondays.
There are also plenty of opportunities to get involved in audits and teaching.
